For the second consecutive year, geoAMPS is being honored as one of the Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio.
geoAMPS helps its employees stay healthy through onsite facilities and a number of programs and initiatives. Columbus Business First, which organizes the Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio awards, is again recognizing geoAMPS for these efforts.
Now geoAMPS is looking ahead to the Healthiest Employers Awards Program and Wellness Expo, scheduled for March 10 at COSI in Columbus.
geoAMPS is one of seven honorees in the Small Organization category (2 to 99 employees). Only 30 Small, Medium (100 to 499 employees) and Large (500 or more employees) organizations in Columbus and the surrounding region are 2015 honorees of Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio. Columbus is the capital and largest city in Ohio.
At the Expo, geoAMPS and other honorees in each category will learn how they ranked, based on an analysis of their award nominations.
In 2014, geoAMPS won first place in the Small Organization category.
“Winning first place in 2014 was exciting. We are equally excited about being a 2015 finalist,” Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, said. “Being selected as a finalist for this award is a great honor. We extend our appreciation to Columbus Business First for organizing this award program. By doing so, the newspaper is encouraging organizations of all sizes throughout Central Ohio to engage in health and wellness programs with their employees.”
“The geoAMPS team is a family, and family members encourage one another to stay healthy,” Leena Madan, Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, said. “The Healthiest Employers of Central Ohio is an honor that we treasure.”
During the past year, geoAMPS has added upon the health and wellness initiatives that propelled it to top honors in the 2014 Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio awards.
A new addition to its office in Powell opened recently. This addition includes a room called The Studio, an area devoted to the company’s health and wellness programs. The Studio features exercise equipment that is free to employees. The Studio also is where geoAMPS provides yoga classes and massages.
geoAMPS has also developed a new rewards program that encourages exercising and other good health habits. Points are awarded for various activities, and employees can claim prizes once they have accumulated enough points. The grand prize is a one-year gym membership or a six-month yoga membership.
geoAMPS team members also gain health-related benefits through the company’s human resources services provider.
Last year, geoAMPS received top honors in the Small Organization category for its health and wellness programs, which included yoga classes by a licensed instructor, massages during work hours by a licensed masseuse, standing desks to any employee who wishes one, and additional benefits.
