For the third consecutive year, geoAMPS was honored as one of the Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio.

geoAMPS helps its employees stay healthy through a comprehensive wellness and fitness program. Columbus Business First, the leading weekly business news publication serving Central Ohio, recognized geoAMPS as a regional leader in providing wellness programs for its employees.

High ranking

geoAMPS was ranked second in the Small Organization category for 2016. This year marked the third consecutive year that geoAMPS was named first or second in the awards program.

A record number of nominations were received by Business First, Dominic Cappa, Editor-in-chief of the newspaper, said. Central Ohio is the state’s largest region in terms of population and industrial/commercial activity.

“Capturing the top spots in 2014, 2015 and 2016 has been exciting and rewarding for our entire geoAMPS team,” Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, said. “We extend our appreciation to Columbus Business First for organizing this award program. By doing so, the newspaper is encouraging organizations of all sizes throughout Central Ohio to engage in health and wellness programs that are of great benefit to their employees.”

Building onto excellent programs

During the past year, geoAMPS has added upon the health and wellness initiatives that propelled it to top honors in the 2014 and 2015 Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio awards. For example, the company now provides discounted memberships to a local gym. The company also offers prizes for wellness activities through a rewards points system that can be submitted and tracked through a telephone mobile application. The application was built in-house. geoAMPS continues to offer free massages to its employees.

Johnni Beckel, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at OhioHealth, congratulated geoAMPS and all the honorees during the awards event March 15 at COSI in downtown Columbus.

She encouraged the honorees to “remain innovative, keep trying new things and pushing the envelope” in terms of providing health and wellness benefits for employees. Such programs, she said, not only improve the lives of individuals and families, but also have a significant positive impact on the business.

geoAMPS, a company launched in 2011, is providing health programs that rival those offered by large established organizations, Yogesh said.

Located in Powell, geoAMPS is the leader in creating software solutions to manage land rights and infrastructure assets. The company has experienced rapid, dramatic growth and now serves clients, including leaders in their respective industries, throughout the United States and Canada. geoAMPS offers 11 industry-specific software products. The company’s software standardizes and automates project and organization processes, creating an average 35 percent cost savings through efficiencies.
