Industry magazine features geoAMPS product modules


The geoAMPS solutions for pain points in the oil and natural gas industry are featured in the March edition of Gas, Oil and Mining Contractor Magazine.
 
Oil and gas organization representatives tell us that they lack a central system to track and manage workflows, inspections and compliance. The magazine published a case study on how geoAMPS helped tackle this issue for a large midstream and natural gas processing company.


The article, titled “Management software operates through central web database,” discusses three innovative models the technology company developed for the client. geoAMPS configured its rowAMPS software product to meet the client’s specific needs for a land rights and infrastructure asset solution.
 
A one-call ticket system manages workflows from the project administrator. Geographic information systems (GIS) maps the location of the ticket automatically and notifies if the asset needs attention. The administrator reviews the recommendation and either clears the ticket or assigns work to be done, linking necessary forms to the ticket for the field agent to complete.
 
The Forms Manager allows the client to create forms that can be linked to tasks. When creating the form, the administrator can trigger additional questions to appear when certain answers are provided. Agents can complete the forms assigned to them for a particular task on the web or through mobile devices.
 
The Compliance Manager module allows the software user to set up and link tasks to assets, locations and components. The setup feature shows how each task needs to be completed and field agents can review their assigned tasks. A detailed work history is stored with each task, which provides valuable information on the condition of assets and components and eliminates duplication of work.
