Going green and saving money with geoAMPS

geoAMPS has helped Group Management Services, Inc. (GMS), the largest Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in Ohio and one of the largest employers in the state, realize dramatic savings in the cost of operating its sales division.
An online sales presentation developed by geoAMPS has been implemented at GMS and is saving the company thousands of dollars annually.
An article about the project and a case study of its success has been published on The Daily Energy Report website. Click here to read the article titled “Going Green and Saving Money.” The geoAMPS post was chosen one of four featured articles on The Daily Energy Report's homepage and it was among the website's Most Popular Posts on Aug. 21 and 22.

It was written by Dan Liggett, Communications and Public Relations Manager at geoAMPS, and Nathan Mirolo, geoAMPS Marketing and Communications Specialist.
The Daily Energy Report is a website dedicated to reporting not only the latest news from the world of energy, but new developments as well in the areas of organizational efficiency, buildings, transportation, finance and government.
The sales division at GMS was operating under a laborious, antiquated process until Tim Austin, Vice President of Sales, discussed with Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer at geoAMPS, and Leena Madan, geoAMPS Chief Operating Officer, how to make the division more efficient.
As is the case with many organizations, GMS faced the challenges of conducting a modern operation with old solutions. Virtually all of its sales materials were paper-based. Sales information and records were kept on spreadsheets, but that required plenty of cutting and pasting. It was a labor-intensive system prone to error.
GMS incurred significant costs in producing necessary material for meetings with prospective clients. Seeing the impact on the bottom line, Tim established the goal of making the sales division’s operation paperless.
Yogesh and Leena assured Tim the technology professionals at geoAMPS could help him achieve his goal. Within three weeks, geoAMPS had a working prototype of a web-based sales presentation run from a central repository of information on company products and information. Rather than lug reams of paper to each meeting, sales professionals could now go to meetings with only a computer notebook, and have more information and capability available to potential customers.
‘We have saved money, and we have saved time,” Tim said. “But what is priceless is our relationship with geoAMPS. Some things, money just can’t buy.”
