During the May 9 Spring Business Meeting of the Illinois Chapter of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Chapter 12, Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, presented how technology from geoAMPS is rapidly changing the right of way industry.
Yogesh’s presentation provided a historical overview of right of way acquisition, discussing the limitations of traditional processes of acquiring right of way and the opportunities that exist today with a geoAMPS, Web-based technology solution. Those benefits include a single access point for all project information; the ability to immediately update a project file; the use of geographical information system (GIS) mapping to improve efficiency of identifying and acquiring right of way; and the ability of right of way agents in the field to use mobile devices to review project information, workflows and quickly update the status of negotiations.
“geoAMPS was happy to speak with members of the IRWA Chapter 12 in Chicago,” said Yogesh, “and share how technology can help business and their profession become more efficient. The geoAMPS demonstration received good feedback.”
geoAMPS is a technology company that specializes in software solutions to manage land rights and infrastructure assets. Its software line includes rowAMPS - which Yogesh demonstrated for IRWA Chpater 12 – and is designed for companies to manage right of way projects and land assets in a real–time paperless environment that enables collaboration, efficiency and error reduction. rowAMPS, like all geoAMPS solutions, is a secure, Web–based system that brings transparency and promotes compressed cycle times while maintaining compliance with applicable rules and mandates.
