The Boston Marathon is a long tradition that celebrates endurance, achievement and heart. Runners and spectators from around the world gather in Boston each year to celebrate completing this grueling physical challenge.
An act of terror, the detonation of two bombs near the race's finish line, in the heart of Boston's downtown, turned what was intended to be a celebration into a day of tragedy and loss for the many victims of the bombings and their families, as well as the entire nation. The loss of life and scores of those injured have impacted people the world over.
All of us at geoAMPS extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the victims of the bombings and their families during this difficult time.
