Windpower Publishes Article on altAMPS

Professionals in the wind-energy industry tell geoAMPS staff that one big pain point in managing a wind farm is managing ongoing payment obligations. geoAMPS responded by developing altAMPS, technology designed specifically for end-to-end management of alternative energy projects. altAMPS is software that, among many other capabilities, automates the process of meeting payment schedules.

Windpower Engineering and Development, a respected trade journal covering the wind industry, has published an article about altAMPS’ capability to automate ongoing payment obligations for wind farms. The article titled “A better way to manage wind-farm payments” appears in the February 2013 edition.

The article describes the complex variables involved in meeting ongoing payments. To meet these challenges, wind-energy companies have resorted to various means with varying degrees of success. Many work from spreadsheets while some still work from paper. In either case, the payment information must be input manually through each payment cycle. That’s a time-consuming process which ties up a great deal of staff time. And, it is a recipe for errors and headaches for the wind company.

altAMPS automates the process of meeting payment schedules, including lease and royalty payments. It increases efficiency to this essential aspect of operating a wind farm. It saves costs for the wind company.

The Windpower article also discusses how intuitive the altAMPS software is. New clients often remark that the ease of use is an added benefit to a software product with so much capability.
