Canada is seeing substantial growth in wind power infrastructure. Its wind power installations have more than doubled since 2010 to 1,267 MW, bringing total capacity to 5.2 GW. Canadians expect capacity to more than double yet again in the next five years, with another 6 GW planned. It appears the United States’ neighbor to the north is well on its way to achieving its national goal of 20 percent of electricity generated from wind by 2025.
