geoAMPS executive joins American Red Cross board

Leena Madan, Chief Operating Officer of geoAMPS, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Delaware County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

A resident of Delaware, Leena has been an active supporter of the American Red Cross for several years.

“I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Red Cross chapter officers and Advisory Board members for welcoming me to the Board,” Leena said. “It is an honor to help the Red Cross advance its important mission to provide disaster relief and other vital services that make a real difference in the lives of the citizens of Delaware County.”

“Leena is an excellent addition to our Advisory Board,” Mark Garrison, Red Cross Community Volunteer Leader, said. “I want to thank her for making the commitment to helping build and improve the organization each and every day. I look forward to Leena’s input and participation.”

Vital services

In addition to disaster relief, the local American Red Cross supports military families, provides blood services by sponsoring blood drives, provides health and safety services, and provides international services. The Red Cross offers health and safety courses, such as CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard training.

Under Leena’s leadership, geoAMPS and its employees have supported the important work of the Red Cross.

In 2012, after much of the East Coast and Midwest were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, Leena organized a fund-raising effort. For each “like” geoAMPS received on its Facebook page, the company made a donation to the Red Cross. The funds were committed to hurricane relief.

The Power of the Purse is the largest annual fund-raiser of the Delaware County Chapter of the Red Cross. Leena organized geoAMPS sponsorship of this event. She also donated a purse to be auctioned at the event. Leena, along with women employed at geoAMPS, helped the fund-raising effort by bidding on purses during the auction.

Blood Drive

On Feb. 12, 2016, geoAMPS will host a blood drive sponsored by the Red Cross. The event will be held at the company office, 3821 Attucks Drive, in the Wedgewood Office Park in Powell. Local residents are invited to join geoAMPS employees in donating the Gift of Life from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those who donate will have the chance to win $2,000 in Kroger gift cards for gas or groceries.

To schedule an appointment to donate, call 800-RED CROSS, email Caroline at or visit, sponsor code: geoAMPS.
