geoAMPS is Central Ohio Corporate Caring Finalist

geoAMPS has been selected a 2016 Corporate Caring Finalist. The program honors for-profit companies of Central Ohio for their financial contributions, volunteer service and other unique contributions to Columbus-area charities and nonprofit organizations.

This year marks the second consecutive year that geoAMPS has been named a Corporate Caring Finalist.

The awards program is organized by Columbus Business First, the leading weekly business newspaper serving Central Ohio. Nick Fortine, Business First President and Publisher, said more than 100 nominations were received for this year’s awards.

Yogesh Khandelwal selected EY Ohio Valley Region finalist

Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, is a finalist for the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 Award in the Ohio Valley Region.

The award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges.

“I am honored to have been selected a regional finalist in the Ernst and Young awards program. It is humbling to have been chosen along with 24 outstanding business leaders in the Ohio Valley Region,” Yogesh said. “This is an honor I share with our geoAMPS team. geoAMPS sponsoring event for American Red Cross

geoAMPS is pleased to again sponsor the Delaware County, Ohio, Power of the Purse event to raise money for the American Red Cross. This marks the third year that geoAMPS has sponsored this event to benefit the life-saving work of the Red Cross.

This event is scheduled Friday, April 22, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Banquet and Conference Center in Powell. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a pre-reception before the Power of the Purse event in the conference center’s main ballroom.

geoAMPS is featured in a new Gas Oil and Mining Contractor article. Titled “Technology Helps Turn a Profit,” the article is an online exclusive on the publication’s website.

Written by Paul Nicolaus, the article addresses how software vendors help oil and gas companies increase efficiencies during the current market difficulty of decreased oil prices.

geoAMPS donation intended to advance literacy programs

The geoAMPS team is pleased to donate $2,444 to the Columbus Literacy Council to help the organization provide important services in Central Ohio.

The donation will go towards the Columbus Literacy Council’s "Families Involved Together” (FIT) program. The program is designed for adults who are consistently improving their literacy skills to enroll their child in the program with them.

geoAMPS is continuing its community outreach efforts through a donation of $2,444 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The donation will assist the organization is conducting important programs in the Central Ohio Area. Those programs include research, prevention and education, advocacy and public policy, and support to help the organization in its goal of reducing the suicide rate 20 percent by 2025.

Record nominations for 2016 Healthiest Employers Awards

geoAMPS is an honoree in the Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio awards program. The weekly business news publication Columbus Business First, which organizes the annual awards program, reports that it received a record number of nominations for the award.

Business First reported that it received 97 nominations for the 2016 awards program. That is 17 more than the number submitted last year, which also was a record year.

geoAMPS welcomes public to participate in blood drive

geoAMPS, a software company located in Powell, is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, Feb. 12. Local residents are invited to schedule an appointment to donate blood at the company’s location, 3821 Attucks Drive, in the Wedgewood Office Park.

Those who donate blood will have the chance to win $2,000 in Kroger gift cards for gas or groceries.
